Here at the Manual for Democracy we like to think of Netroots as... a virtual soapbox for political commentary, where ‘We the People’ can transform ourselves from common citizens into online Nationalistic Statesman with just a keystroke.

Wikipdia definess Netroots as "a recent term describing a particular form of grassroots activist organized primarily over the internet... through online activism that is geared toward persuasion and organizing via the participation of many blogs. Netroots outreach is a campaign-oriented activity that uses the web for complimenting more traditional campaign activities, such as collaborating with grassroots activism."

Markos Moulitsas Zúniga, founder of Daily Kos, described the Netroots as, "the crazy political junkies that hang out in blogs."

But no matter how you characterize it, we invite you to browse thru the Netroots, progressive political-activism blogs & reference sites which stand for the Democratic principles we admire; including what is most paramount in a Democracy... Freedom of Speech
