Sitting Alone in a Cell
Ó 1984 Anthony Congiano
Sitting alone in a cell
Looking forward to hell
And as the clock slowly ticks away
Seems no one cares what you have to say
Then slowly walking up the stairs
Thirteen steps, it's just not fair
Then you stand there and listen to
The Minister speak
And as you take a look around
Hundreds of people but, you can't hear a sound
Then you realize that you're bound
To hang by the neck, above the ground
Then the noose goes around your neck
The final moments are almost here
And as the floor falls from beneath your feet
No more anger, no more fear
