Very Admired Man
Ó
2001 Anthony Congiano
Well, he loves his darling children
And he cares for them a lot
But, on the other hand he’s kind of cold
A bigot and a snot
With greed he hoards his money
In a rusting coffee can
Though he’s polished on the outside
A very admired man
Now, on Friday’s he goes shopping
Down on Forty-Second Street
And once he finds a little whore he likes
He jumps and clicks his feet
She takes him over to her place
And follows all his kinky plans
But no one would believe it of this
Very admired man
But, when he returned to his front door
Truth smacked him with surprise
For he saw his best friend’s head
Between his Mary’s loving thighs
His face went red with anger
A gun found his empty hand
He yanked then squeezed his trigger, this
Very admired man
Now, he still goes out on Fridays
But doesn’t hurry to get home
For his kids are at their Grandma’s house
And he’s now living alone
Still he sometimes thinks of Mary
When he sees his wedding band
But, he don’t cry much cause he’s got the bucks, and still a
Very admired man
