Canon Digital Rebel
The photo quality of the Canon Digital Rebel is beyond compare. I have never shot with a digital where it was possible to zoom in 3, 4 or even 5x on a subject, crop, and wind up with a wonderful image.
Absolutely no noise reduction, neat
image, or blurs were used in the examples below
Each image got one hit with auto contrast and a
20-30% unsharp mask applied
ISO 100 Crops
Below are two photos, shot with the Canon 28-105mm USM II lens, attached to the
Rebel. Both were shot at ISO 100. First the original 6MP image, reduced in size,
the second a crop of the bird in flight.
ISO 400 Crop
This camera does not have to be at ISO 100 to produce some of the most film like
images on earth. Below are two photographs, shot with the Canon 100-300mm USM
attached to the Rebel. Image was shot at ISO 400. First the original 6MP
image, reduced in size, the second is a crop of the players in action.... simply
amazing.
ISO 1600 Crop
Okay, now this is simply getting ridicules. Below is a photograph, shot with
the Canon 28-105mm USM II attached to the Rebel. The photo was shot without
flash, thru glass, at 28mm. First the original 6MP image, reduced in size,
the second is a crop of the mouse.... the fact that not only does the original
look good resized but... I can crop the ISO 1600 image about 3x... and the photo
looks good. Any other digital, under a grand, at ISO 1600, the photos would be
virtually unusable.
THE REBEL ROCKS!!!
The mouse photo above got one hit with auto levels, as the environment had a yellow 40 watt light bulb, which made the original photo was very yellowish
