Crooked Line

Ó 1990  Anthony Congiano

You could walk the moon
Then bring back a rock
You may cancel time
Just through away your clock
You could right some wrongs, you may cure the blind
But you can't walk straight on no crooked line

You could rob the mint
You might blow it too
You may solve a crime
Without a tip or clue
You could leave me yours, you may lift what's mine
But you can't walk straight on no crooked line

You could flip a switch
Then go from day to night
And strut off to church
Where you will see the light
You could leave this world, You may expand your mind
But you can't walk straight on no crooked line

You can't turn around
What's impossible
You can brag that you can
But you're boasting bull
An example to you, and to all mankind
You can't walk straight on no crooked line
